The volume of construction work in Croatia in January 2018 was 6.8 percent up from the same month of 2017, which is the highest year-on-year increase since December 2016.
This is higher than the EU average, according to preliminary data published by the national statistical bureau. According to seasonally and working-day adjusted data, construction work volume in January was 0.9 percent lower than in December.
Year-on-year, the volume of work done on buildings in January was up 6.8 percent. The volume of construction work on other structures – roads, railways, pipelines, bridges, dams, sports venues, etc. – was 0.3 percent lower.
