The President, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, will go on an official visit to Macedonia on Thursday, where she will meet with Macedonian high officials and attend the annual meeting of leaders of the Brdo-Brijuni Process, the Office of the President said on Wednesday.

The President is scheduled to meet with her Macedonian counterpart, Gjorgje Ivanov, as well as the Parliament Speaker, Talat Dzaferi and the Prime Minister, Zoran Zaev, on Thursday. She will also meet with the representatives of the ethnic Croat community in Macedonia.

The annual Brdo-Brijuni Process meeting will be held in Skopje on Friday. The initiative is hosted by the Macedonian President Ivanov, and co-chaired by the Croatian President, Grabar-Kitarovic, and the Slovenian President, Borut Pahor.

Also in attendance will be the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, the President of Bulgaria, Bojko Borisov, and the presidents of other Brdo-Brijuni participant countries (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, and Kosovo).

The Brdo-Brijuni Process was launched in 2013 by Slovenia and Croatia, in order to further stabilise the conditions in Southeast Europe through regional cooperation and the solving of outstanding issues.
