Adris Group responded to Economy Minister Darko Horvat’s interview with N1 on Thursday, in which he called Adris for a new round of negotiations to find a solution in the Agrokor settlement process and ensure the company’s vote in favour of the settlement deal approved by the temporary creditors’ council at a court hearing on July 4.
“We have nothing to add to the stances we have shared with the Croatian public over the last days,” Adris told N1.
Adris Group is Agrokor’s largest single non-banking creditor, with a debt claim of about 1 billion kuna (€135 million). The company has not agreed terms on its debt recovery with the emergency management.
Horvat told N1 earlier today that if Adris was unhappy with the plan, they can go for a proceeding that might attempt to give the company what they believe belongs to them.
“We respect the efforts of all those who wish to contribute to the process. We will insist on the lawfulness of the settlement deal and the legal foundation of the entire process. For Adris, this is a creditors’ and legal, and not a political issue. Our obligation is to protect our interests through legal means,” Adris told N1.
