Croatian Minister of Science and Education Blazenka Divjak is on a two-day visit to Austria and on Thursday signed an agreement on the establishment of a Croatian language instructorship in Eisenstadt and Burgenland.
“That is a big step forward, not just for the status and learning the Croatian language in Austria but also for our autochthonous ethnic minority, the Burgenland Croats in Austria, a big event, the first since we signed a similar agreement last year for a Croatian language instructorship in Novi Sad (Serbia),” Divjak said.
On Wednesday, Minister Divjak held a lecture in Graz at the Karl Franzens University on the education and science reform in Croatia in the context of the European area of higher education, education in general and science.
