The Croatian Peasant Party's (HSS) Presidency has decided to support the Social Democratic Party's (SDP) presidential candidate Zoran Milanovic.

The HSS said on Tuesday intensive talks were under way with the leaders of the other Amsterdam Coalition parties and that it believed their bodies would make the same or a similar decision in time.

The final decision on supporting Milanovic for head of state will be made after confirmation by the other Amsterdam Coalition parties and the HSS Main Committee.

Milanovic’s presidential bid was supported last week by the Croatian Pensioners Party. The SDP Main Committee supported the candidacy on July 6.
