Prime Minister and HDZ president Andrej Plenkovic said on Friday the MPs of the HDZ (Croatian Democratic Union) and the parliamentary majority were satisfied with the ministerial candidates.

“All is well, the ministers introduced themselves. The HDZ MPs are satisfied, the parliamentary majority is satisfied,” he told reporters after a meeting of the HDZ caucus.

He then headed to a meeting of the parliamentary Committee on the Constitution, Standing Orders and Political System to present Interior Minister Davor Bozinovic and Finance Minister Zdravko Maric, whom he nominated as deputy prime ministers, and Ivan Malenica, whom he is nominated as public administration minister.

In the afternoon, parliament convenes for an extraordinary meeting to vote on seven candidates for ministers and the two for deputy prime ministers.
