The 6th edition of the World Bridge Youth Open Championships began in the Croatian seaside resort of Opatija on Tuesday evening.

The event was officially opened by Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic who said that this card game can help young people to develop their analytic and tactical skills.

Over 400 players are expected to participate in this 11-day event in Opatija.

The president of the World Bridge Federation, Giannarrigo Rona also addressed the ceremony.
