Serbian President says arms sales to Saudi Arabia legal

Weapons sales to Saudi Arabia are allowed and I will urge the sale of as many weapons as we can, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in a live appearance on TV Pink on Friday morning.

Vucic said that anyone who has proof that Internal Affairs Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic’s father Branko was involved in the purchase of weapons at privileged prices should disclose it or stop talking about the case.

Branko Stefanovic has been alleged to have been involved in the purchase of munitions from a Serbian arms manufacturer at privileged prices. The munitions were sold to Saudi Arabian buyers and are reported to have ended up in the hands of Islamic extremists in Yemen.
