In September the average take-home pay in Croatia amounted to 6,418 kuna (€864), which is a nominal annual increase of 3.6 percent and a real increase of 2.8 percent, the state statistics bureau reported on Thursday.
Compared to August, the take-home pay increased nominally by 0.3% and by 1.1% in real terms.
The highest average monthly salary in September was earned in air transport, HRK 11,448, while the lowest average wage of HRK 4,233 was earned in other personal service activities.
The median net pay in September amounted to HRK 5,539, which means that half of those employed received a higher pay and half earned less than that.
The average gross monthly salary amounted to HRK 8,693, a real decrease of 1.7% on the month.
Compared to September 2018, the average gross monthly salary recorded a real increase of 3.2% in September 2019.
