Gitone Adriatic raises its interest in Liburnia Riviera Hoteli to 71.18%

The Zagreb-based Gitone Adriatic has bought 17.24% of the stock of the Liburnia Riviera Hoteli and thus increased its interest in this Opatija-based hotel company to 71.18%, according to a press release issued on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) on Monday.

The press release reads that Gitone Adriatic purchased 52,165 shares from 496 LRH small shareholders, and this amount accounted for 17.24% of the hotel company’s equity.

Before this transaction, Gitone Adriatic held 53.94% of the stock and now its stock in LRH increased to 71.18%.

Gitone Adriatic, a company that has its headquarters in Zagreb, works together with the Austrian foundation Holster Privatstiftung and the Gitone Beteiligungsverwaltungs from Vienna as well as with the companies Gitone Adriatic B.V. and Gitone Kvarner B.V. from Amsterdam and Gitone Kvarner from Zagreb.

Apart from this shareholder, the controlling stock of 25% plus one share is held by the Nova Liburnija company, founded by the City of Opatija and the municipalities of Lovran, Moscenicka Draga and Matulji.

The Croatian government holds a 1.86%.
