The remains of four bodies, believed to be those of victims killed during the Homeland War, were excavated on Saturday from a mass grave in the village of Marinci in Vukovar-Srijem County.

The identification of the victims will be conducted at the Zagreb-based Institute for Forensics, the Croatian Ministry of War Veterans’ Affairs reported today.

Croatia still searches for 1,872 persons who have been unaccounted for since they went missing in the 1991-1995 war of independence. Of them, 530 are victims from Vukovar County.
