Montenegro introduces curfew amid coronavirus pandemic

The authorities in Montenegro decided to ban people’s movements from 7 pm to 5 am during the week, and from 1 pm on Saturdays to 5 am on Mondays in an attempt to prevent the coronavirus from spreading in the country, the Beta news agency reported on Monday.

The tiny coastal republic was the last in Europe to report the first COVID-19 case on March 17.

Since then, 91 people have been tested positive on coronavirus, and one of them has died.

“Unfortunately, there is no other possibility in such a situation. Unless we invest in health, we’ll have to invest more in treating the consequences. And, unfortunately, some lives will be lost, and that is impossible to recover,” the Government said in a statement.

It announced new measures soon.
