Another four Covid-19 deaths in Bosnia, more than 1,800 infected in total

Health authorities in Bosnia’s two semi-autonomous regions have confirmed that in the past 24 hours a total of 19 people tested positive for the coronavirus in total across the country, while the Republika Srpska University Clinical Centre reported that four people died due to Covid-19.

More than 1,800 people have caught the coronavirus until now across the country while 76 passed away due to Covid-19. More than 800 recovered.

Of the 557 samples tested in Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) entity, ten were positive for the virus. The other Bosnian region, Republika Srpska (RS), tested 272 samples and nine came back positive.

“We had four people who passed away due to the consequences of the coronavirus and had developed pneumonia,” RS Health Minister, Alen Seranic, said in his morning press conference on Sunday, adding that all of them were seniors who had been suffering from various other health issues as well.

He also said that a doctor and a nurse at the RS University Clinical Centre were among those who tested positive since Saturday.
