Four new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Slovenia after 1,176 tests carried out in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 1,454, the Slovenian government said on Saturday.
One more person has died in the last 24 hours, putting the total death toll at 101. Forty-three people infected with Covid-19 are in hospitals, four fewer than on Friday, and 10 of them are in intensive care units.
A total of 62,203 tests have been conducted to date, which the government says is proof that Slovenia is among the most successful countries in dealing with the epidemic considering the ratio of the number of people tested to the size of the population.
Given the good results achieved so far in stemming the spread of the epidemic, Slovenia is reopening public bus and rail transport services as of Monday, with strict social distancing rules and hygienic requirements remaining in place.
