The Slovenian government has decided on Tuesday that Croatians are free to cross the border into Slovenia without having to undergo mandatory quarantine, since the epidemiological situation in the two countries is similar.
The STA news agency reported on Tuesday that Croatia became the first country whose nationals may enter Slovenia without limitations. Slovenia has begun talks on the topic with Austria, as well.
Last week Slovenia declared the end of the Covid-19 epidemic in the country, and announced the reopening of borders for European Union and the European Economic Area citizens.
Slovenian Economy Minister Zdravko Pocivalsek and Hungarian Foreign Minster Peter Szijjarto on Monday discussed the plans for reopening the borders between EU member-states with similar epidemiological situations.
