The North Macedonia authorities reported nine coronavirus-related deaths on Thursday, the highest number in a single day since the pandemic began.
Health Care Minister Venko Filipce said that 193 new cases had been registered since Tuesday, bringing the total to 4,482.
He said in a Facebook post that there were 2,469 cases, 328 of them in hospital including seven on ventilators.
The minister said that 1,391 people had been tested in the previous 24 hours bringing the total to 46,445. The North Macedonian Public Health Institute said that a total of 1,803 patients have recovered from COVID-19.
