After several Serbia's top officials including the Defence Minister and the Parliament Speaker tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Saturday, Serbian President's media advisor Suzana Vasiljevic said that the public would be informed in case of any change in the President's health condition.
“It’s not a shame to get infected and if any change in the President’s health condition occurs, you and other media outlets will be informed about it,” Vasiljevic told Nova.rs news website, after the information that several top officials, most of whom were in contact with President Aleksandar Vucic, tested positive.
The coronavirus infection has been so far confirmed for Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic, Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin, Head of the Government’s Office for Kosovo Marko Djuric and Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Marko Cadez.
According to Tanjug news agency, Gojkovic was hospitalised due to pneumonia but she said she was feeling well.
On the other hand, the Defence Ministry said, Minister Vulin shows no symptoms of the infection and is in self-isolation.
