Twenty-four people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Slovenia after 914 tested performed in the last 24 hours, and two infected persons have died, the government said on Tuesday.
This is a large increase in the daily number of cases from Monday when only seven new infections were confirmed after 371 tests had been conducted.
The number of people receiving hospital treatment has also increased. Currently, 22 patients are being treated for the Covid-19 infection in two hospitals and two of them are in intensive care. Two persons have been discharged from hospital in the last 24 hours.
Since the start of the outbreak in the country, 1,977 cases have been confirmed and 114 people have died.
