Bosnian health authorities reported record-breaking 303 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, 178 from the Bosniak-Croat shared Federation (FBiH) entity and 125 from the Serb-dominated Republika Srpska (RS) entity, over the past 24 hours. The authorities added there was one virus-related fatality in the country.
The FBiH health authorities said they tested 1,112 samples of which 178 came back positive. The entity recorded no virus-related fatalities.
The RS health authorities said they tested 546 samples of which 125 tested positive for SARS-COV-2. This entity recorded one virus-related fatality.
The authorities in the northern Brcko District, not dominated by either of the three constituent peoples reported no infections or fatalities by 12 am, Friday.
According to the state Civil Affairs Ministry Bosnia recorded 9,767 cases of Covid-19 since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country, of which 4,555 patients recovered and 280 had died.
