Slovenia has registered 21 new cases of the coronavirus in the past 24 hours, seven more than on Monday, but with many more tests conducted.
A total of 1,370 people were tested in that period and 21 proved positive to the virus, Slovenia’s government tweeted on Tuesday.
On Monday 543 tests confirmed 14 new cases of the infection.
Two children are among the latest cases aged 5 and 14 and three younger people aged between 15 and 24, the health ministry informed.
There are currently 17 patients being treated in hospital for Covid-19, however there are no patients in need of intensive care. One patient was released from hospital on Monday and there has not been any new deaths.
Currently there are 414 active cases in the country and since the outbreak of the epidemic testing has confirmed a total of 2,686 positive cases and 133 people have died so far, the ministry informed.
