In the last 24 hours, Slovenia's health authorities have conducted a record high number of coronavirus tests, 2,758, and of them, 108 have turned out positive, the Slovenian government reported on Friday.
Ljubljana has registered the highest number of newly diagnosed cases in the last 24 hours, 23, and currently there are 140 active cases in the capital city. Maribor has ten new infections and 61 active cases.
The hotspots of the spread of the virus are schools and care homes for seniors, local media have reported.
Since the onset of the epidemic, Slovenia has registered 3,498 cases of the infection, and currently 701 cases are active, of whom 27 are hospitalised patients, including five in intensive care wards, according to the data provided by the health ministry.
Slovenia’s Covid-related death toll stands at 135.
