An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale hit the wider Zadar area in Croatia on Sunday, according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
The quake was felt across Zadar County, on the islands of Ugljan, Pasman and Murter, in the towns of Vodice, Sibenik, Drnis and Knin, in the neighbouring Sibenik-Knin County and in the Lika region.
Upset citizens went out into the streets. Zadar police spokeswoman Ivana Grbin said the police had not received any damage report.
There have been no reports of injuries or damage in Paklenica National Park either, the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service said.
Residents of the Bosnian town of Bihac reported they also felt the quake which had its epicentre 60 kilometres southwest of the town and 11 kilometres from Posedarje in Croatia.
