Bosnian health officials reported 1,455 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, along with record 35 virus-related fatalities.
The country’s Federation (FBiH) entity reported 809 new cases after testing 1,551 samples for the new coronavirus. The entity’s Public Health Institute said they recorded 19 deaths caused by the virus.
The Republika Srpska (RS) region said they registered 646 new cases of the disease after testing 1,254 suspected samples. This entity also reported having 16 fatalities over the last 24 hours.
The hardest-hit city is Sarajevo once again with a total of 349 confirmed cases.
Brcko District reported 98 new Covid-19 cases over the past 24 hours, along with two fatalities.
Yesterday the country recorded a slight drop in the cases with only 764 confirmed patients.
Sarajevo Canton’s authorities also warned they would introduce a curfew and restrictions on movement if the numbers continue to grow.
