President Zoran Milanovic on Wednesday expressed condolences to his Austrian counterpart Alexander Van der Bellen and condemned the November 2 terrorist attack in Vienna in which four people were killed.
The Office of the President said President Milanovic spoke with his Austrian counterpart on the telephone.
Condemning terrorist violence, President Milanovic “expressed strong support to Austria and its citizens, as well as solidarity in the fight to preserve the values of democracy and free society,” his office said.
A 20-year-old assailant, a sympathiser of the Islamic State terrorist organisation sentenced for planning to go to Syria to fight, on Monday opened fire at people in downtown Vienna, killing four and injuring 22.
