Bosnian health officials reported 1,907 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, along with record 57 virus-related fatalities.

The country’s Federation (FBiH) entity reported 1,297 new cases after testing 3,383 samples for the new coronavirus. The entity’s Public Health Institute said they recorded 31 deaths caused by the virus.

The Republika Srpska (RS) region said they registered 589 new cases of the disease after testing 1,199 suspected samples. This entity also reported having 23 fatalities over the last 24 hours.

The hardest-hit city is Sarajevo once again with a total of 507 confirmed cases, however, some cases are from seven days due to a backlog in testing.

Brcko District health officials said they recorded 21 new coronavirus cases along with three fatalities.

Yesterday the country recorded 1,992 coronavirus cases.
