Serbia's Health Ministry said on Monday, that over the last 24 hours, 38 patients died of the coronavirus-related ailments, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,237 while out of 15,601 tested people 5,067 were confirmed infected with the coronavirus.

A mortality rate stood at 0,98 percent.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, 1,638,709 people have been tested, and 126,187 samples have come back positive.

The Ministry said 6,329 patients were hospitalised, and 216 of them on ventilators on Monday.
