In the past 24 hours 1,591 coronavirus infections have been confirmed in Slovenia, after 6,938 tests, and 43 COVID-19 patients have died, the government said on Saturday.
To date, Slovenia has registered over 74,000 infections and 1,336 deaths.
Currently, there are almost 22,000 active cases. The number of hospitalised COVID patients is 1,258, 66 fewer than on Friday, including 194 in intensive care, according to the Health Ministry.
Positive tests made up 22.82% of all tests over the past 24 hours, less than 24.43% the day before or 25.66% a week ago.
