Serbia's Health Ministry said on Tuesday, that over the last 24 hours, 48 patients died of the coronavirus-related ailments, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,652 while out of 22,837 tested people 7,999 were confirmed infected with the coronavirus.

A mortality rate stood at 0,9 percent.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic,1.800.419 people have been tested, and 183.437 samples have come back positive.

The Ministry said 7,499 patients were hospitalised, and 269 of them on ventilators on Tuesday.
