Bosnia registers 1,245 new coronavirus cases, 53 deaths and 1,462 recoveries

A total of 1,254 people tested positive for the coronavirus and 53 people passed away due to COVID-19 in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the past 24 hours, while 1,462 recovered, healthcare authorities said on Friday.

Of the 3,161 samples tested in Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) region, 832 were positive for the virus and 24 people died from COVID-19 since Thursday.

The other semi-autonomous entity, Republika Srpska (RS), 383 of the 924 people tested were positive for the virus and 28 died due to the disease.

Bosnia’s Brcko District also registered 39 new coronavirus cases and one COVID-19 fatality.

More than 92,000 people tested positive for the coronavirus and more than 2,800 passed away due to COVID-19 in Bosnia since the beginning of the epidemic. More than 57,000 have recovered so far.
