Over the past 24 hours, 6,542 PCR tests have been performed in Slovenia, confirming 1,913 new cases of the coronavirus, and there have been 39 related deaths, the Slovenian government said on Wednesday.
The percentage of positive tests was 29.32%, and since the beginning of the epidemic in Slovenia, PCR tests have confirmed a total of 109,370 cases of the coronavirus infection, Slovenia’s National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ) said on Wednesday.
There are currently 19,834 active cases in the country, and the rolling 7-day average is 1,358 infections. The death toll has increased to 2,418.
There are currently 1,261 COVID patients in hospitals, and 209 of them are intensive care units.
