Coronavirus: Bosnia reports 593 new cases and 708 recoveries

Bosnia and Herzegovina has recorded another 593 cases of the coronavirus infection and 22 deaths on Friday, according to the healthcare authorities, while 708 patients recovered since the last update a day ago.

The new results came from 2,977 lab tests performed.

The Federation (FBiH) entity reported 324 new patients out of 2,074 tests performed. Also, five deaths were reported in this part of the country in the last 24 hours.

As for Republika Srpska (RS) entity, its healthcare authorities reported 240 positive tests out of the total of 834 tests performed over the last 24 hours. The region also reported 16 coronavirus-related deaths.

Brcko District, a separate administrative unit in the north of the country, reported 29 new Covid-19 patients and three fatalities.

According to statistics, the total of 108,891 infection cases was reported in Bosnia and Herzegovina since the epidemic outbreak. So far 74,667 patients have recovered and 3,901 died.

Currently, there are 30,323 active cases throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina

The country has tested nearly a half a million of its population.
