Industrial production in Croatia grew by 3.3 percent compared to the same month the year before, which is the indicator's first positive result after three months of falling figures.
According to dasta released by the state statistics bureau on Friday, industrial production in February grew 2.2 percent compared to January.
“The volume of industrial production in February grew compared to both the previous month and the same month of the year before, which comes after drops recorded over the previous three months,” analysts at the Raiffeisenbank Austria (RBA) told HINA news agency.
In terms of types of goods, the biggest growth was in durable consumer goods (10 percent), followed by non-durable goods (5.7 percent).
“During this year the year-on-year growth of industrial production might average around 2.5 percent, supported by higher domestic and foreign demand,” analysts said.
