Tolls collected amounted to 455.6 million kuna (€61.4 million) without VAT, or 9.6 percent up from the same period in 2017, HAC said in a statement on Friday.

The company said that the overall increase in traffic in the first quarter of 2018 was recorded across all motorways and in all categories of vehicles, in spite of severely poor weather conditions which forced some road sections to temporarily close in February.
“Considering the upcoming tourist season, we expect further increase in revenue and traffic volume,” the company said.
