Thus, the results say, had the parliamentary election been conducted at the beginning of July, the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) would have been a relative winner this month as well, with a 53 – 59 percent turnout on the territory of the entire country.

When it comes to the level of preferences of political parties, HDZ tops the list with a 25 percent approval rating (compared to last month’s 24.8 percent). The Social Democratic Party (SDP) was second, with an approval rating of 18.7 percent (compared to 19.1 percent from last month). The populist party ‘Zivi zid’ (‘Human shield’) was third in the approval rating list with 13.4 percent approval rating (their June approval rating was 13.1 percent).

At the very top of the list when it comes to the positive perception of Croatian politicians, the most positive personality was “Nobody” (not a single politician was perceived positively) with a rating of 19.2 percent (compared to last month’s 24.9 percent). Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic was placed second with 17.2 percent (compared to last month’s 15.1 percent). Prime Minister Plenkovic maintained the third place with 9.1 percent (compared to last month’s 10.2 percent.).

When it comes to the negative perception list of Croatian politicians, the first place was reserved for the Prime Minister with 28.7 percent (as compared to last month’s 27 percent). The second place was won by Davor Bernardic 14.4 percent (compared to June ratings of 10 percent). The third place was taken by “all politicians” as a separate answer category with 12.3 percent (Compared to June’s 12.4 percent).

The direction in which the country is heading was supported by 17 percent of respondents (compared to last month’s support of 15.9 percent).

The level of support for the Croatian Government in its 20th month in office was at 30.5 percent (compared to June’s support of 30 percent).
