Croatia’s President, Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic, gave Russia’s Vladimir Putin a Croatian national football team jersey with his name on it and Putin gave her flowers during a meeting in Moscow on Sunday, ahead of the World Cup final, where Croatia will face off against France.
The two will watch the match at Moscow’s Luzhniki stadium together.
Kitarovic previously visited Croatia’s players at the hotel they are staying at to congratulate them on their success and wish them luck in the upcoming match. She met with the manager of Croatia’s national team, Zlatko Dalic, in front of the Krasnye Holmy hotel, and he thanked her for all her support for the team.
The final is the third match that will be attended by Kitarovic in this World Cup. She supported her team in Nizhny Novgorod at the match against Denmark, as well as in Sochi in the quarter-finals match against Russia.
