Average net salary reaches €847 in June 2018

In June 2018 the average next salary in Croatia was 6,276 kuna (€847), or 2.1 percent up compared to the same month in 2017, the state statistics bureau said on Wednesday.

By sector, the highest average monthly salary was in crude oil and natural gas extraction, with 11,241 kuna (1,517). On the other end of the scale, the lowest salary of 4,027 kuna (€543) was in personal services.

The median salary in June was 5,382 kuna (€726), meaning half of all employed earn less than that, and the other half more.

In terms of average gross salary in June in Croatia was 8,508 kuna (€1,148), or 1.3 percent down from May and 2.8 percent up from June 2017.

The bureau also tracks hourly wage data, and reported that the average monthly net wage in June was 37.38 kuna (€5.04) – 7.1 percent up from May and 8.9 percent up from June 2017. The average gross hourly wage was 50.67 kuna (€6.83) in June.
