In June 2018, the average take-home monthly salary in Croatia's capital Zagreb was 7,278 kuna (€980), the city statistics bureau said on Tuesday.
In contrast, the net salary paid on the national level in June 2018 was 6,276 (€845), according to the national statistics bureau, meaning that the average monthly income in Zagreb was 1,002 kuna (€135) or 16 percent higher than the national average.
Although the average net salary Zagreb in June rose by 4.4 percent year-on-year, it dropped 0.7 percent month-on-month.
By business sector, employees in the crude oil and natural as exploitation industry had the highest average monthly salary, of 13,567 (€1,828), while the lowest average wage of 3,734 kuna (€503) was paid in metalworking.
