Average salary in Croatia in October 2018 was 6,281 kuna (€846), which is a 1.4 percent increase compared to September this year, and 4.4 percent more than in October 2017, the state statistics office said on Wednesday.
Real net wages growth, adjusted for inflation, was somewhat lower, but it confirms the income growth pattern. So the net wages in October were 0.8 percent higher compared to September and 2.8 percent higher compared to the same month last year.
Median net salary in October 2018 was 5,172 kuna (€697).
By sector, the highest net salaries in October this year were in the air transport industry, at 11,226 kuna (€1,513), while the lowest net salaries were recorded in the personal service industry, including housework, for which the average net salary in October was 4,126 kuna (€556), Jutarnji List daily reported on Wednesday.
