Thirteen people have been killed in a bus crash on the Tetovo-Skopje highway in the north of the country, FoNet news agency reported on Wednesday.

Another 25 people were taken to two hospitals in Skopje, having sustained injuries when the bus slid off the highway, North Macedonia’s Health Minister, Venko Filipce, told the local media.

According to the reports, seven people were killed on the spot, and another six died later.

The dead included children, the minister said, adding that the driver survived the crash and would be questioned later, as well as tested for possible alcohol or substance abuse.
