Croatian wine exports to Serbia in 2018 increased by 35 percent from the previous year, largely owing to efforts which the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK) has been investing in promoting Croatia as a country of quality wines and indigenous grape varieties.
Thirteen Croatian wineries attended the Wine Style exhibition of wines, held in Belgrade on Saturday, the HGK said in a statement.
Croatian winemakers in 2018 exported EUR 16 million worth of wine, of which around EUR 939,000 were exported to Serbia, an increase of 35 percent compared to the year before.
The HGK’s brand ‘Vina Croatia – Vina Mosaica’, which brings together all Croatian winemakers, is designed to make Croatia more recognisable and position it on the global wine map as a country that produces a wide variety of high-quality wines, said the HGK.
