Grabar-Kitarovic and Borrell: Croatia and Spain share similar interests

President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic received Spain's Foreign Minister Josep Borrell on Wednesday and the two officials discussed strengthening economic cooperation on the bilateral and European levels with the president underscoring that as members of the EU and NATO, Croatia and Spain shared similar values and interests.

The two officials agreed that there were huge potential and interest by both countries to boost economic cooperation, at the bilateral and EU levels as well as considering the Mediterranean dimension.

The president used this opportunity to invite King Felipe VI to officially visit Croatia.

Croatia and Spain have a long tradition of friendship and close political, economic and cultural relations and as members of the EU and NATO, the two countries share similar values and interests in many areas, a press release from the president’s office said.
