A Dubrovnik County Court judge on Wednesday granted a motion by the county prosecutor's office and set one month's detention for the main suspects in the Plat hydro-electric power plant case, Nikola Rukavina and Zeljko Starman, to prevent them from tampering with nine witnesses.
Rukavina and Starman are suspected of endangering general safety and face three to 15 years in prison.
On Tuesday, their lawyers said they pleaded not guilty during interrogations at the county prosecutor's office.
In a fire which broke out at Plat on January 10, three workers went missing and were eventually found dead. Eight persons are suspected of endangering general safety and dangerous execution of construction works.
