The 9th Postira Seaside Film Festival will be held on the island of Brac on July 23-27, featuring a selection of the world's best shorts, including this year's Oscar winner for the best short film, Guy Nattiv's "Skin" (US).
The films in competition include Lauroane Escaffre and Yvonnick Muller’s “Pile Poil” (France), winner of the best comedy award at Clermont-Ferrand, the strongest short film festival, as well as the festival’s audience award winner, Yves Piat’s “Nefta Football Club” (France, Tunisia).
Among the films competing for the Postira Seaside Film Festival’s audience award is Bogdan Muresanu’s “The Christmas Gift” (Romania), which was awarded at Clermont-Ferrand, the Berlin Interfilm Festival, and the Palm Springs ShortFest.
The festival also features seven films focusing on women as well as three Croatian shorts and 16 off-beat films in the Midnight Shorts section.
Entry to all screenings is free.
