The authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina have said that between 25 and 30 people, who have stayed in Syria and Iraq and who have been presumably connected with Islamist terrorist organisations, are awaiting their repatriation to Bosnia and Herzegovina from camps where they are currently in status refugees or prisoners.

Security Minister Dragan Mektic was quoted by the Sarajevo-based Dnevni Avaz daily on Wednesday as saying that 25-30 persons who have fought for the ISIL could be returned to Bosnia and Herzegovina as their country of origin and that these statistics include their family members: wives and children.

Thus, the minister refutes speculations that at least 100 Bosnians in camps in the former war zones in the Middle East are awaiting repatriation to their country of origin.

Mektic explains that they know the exact identity of those 25-30 persons The Security Ministry is in charge of repatriation of Bosnian and readmission issues.
