The first edition of the investigative film festival on the northern Croatian island of Rab began on Friday evening with the screening of the "Les Miserables" directed by Ladj Ly.
The director Ly and lead actor Djibril Zonga came to Rab for the film's premiere in Croatia.
The Rab Film Festival (RAFF) will take place until August 27 and 13 feature and documentary films are included in the programme.
The organisers introduce RAFF as "a festival of investigative movies and documentaries".
"The visitors will see a display of socially relevant movies and documentaries investigating the global and local issues of present days," according to the information provided on the festival's website.
