The Tax Administration has recently reported that it has sent overpaid tax refund decisions to over 521,000 taxable persons in Croatia who can expect 1.06 billion kuna on aggregate for the over-payment of taxes on their income in 2018.

After submission of the tax returns which are filed annually, it was established that 521,053 Croatians overpaid taxes last year, and the Tax Administration established that the total amount of refunds was HRK 1.06 billion (€143 million).

The Tax Administration is the administrative unit within the Ministry of Finance whose basic task is to implement tax regulations and regulations concerning the payment of obligatory contributions.
