Branko Bacic of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) said after members of the ruling coalition met in in Zagreb on Wednesday evening that their meeting had revolved around draft legislative proposals, and a state budget for 2020.

“We have concluded that this ruling majority is stable and firm,” Bacic told the press adding that the current government will stay in power until the end of its four-year term and will win the next parliamentary elections.

Bacic said that today’s meeting made no mention of statements and positions of Independent Democratic Serb Party (SDSS) leader Milorad Pupovac which he presented in recent interviews for foreign media. He recalled that the two previous meetings had dealt with that topic.

Today’s meeting was held in a restaurant in Zagreb with Prime Minister and HDZ leader Andrej Plenkovic convening a regular meeting of coalition partners at the start of a new parliamentary session.

Commenting on the fact that the venue of their gathering was not Government House but a restaurant, Bacic said that this was more a sort of informal gathering.
