Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic and a delegation of German parliamentarians on Wednesday again expressed support for the EU launching accession negotiations with North Macedonia and Albania, the government said in a press release.
Plenkovic met with representatives of the Christian Democratic Union and Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU) group in the German parliament.
Plenkovic, whose country currently presides over the EU, expressed satisfaction that the subject of enlargement was once again high on the agenda of EU institutions, and the German MPs noted that Bundestag had strongly supported the opening of negotiations with Albania and North Macedonia already in September last year.
The officials also discussed the Conference on the Future of Europe as well as the progress of the Multiannual Financial Framework negotiations.
They also expressed satisfaction with the traditionally good political and economic relations between Croatia and Germany, says the press release.
