The Croatian Public Health Institute (HZJZ) on Sunday advised citizens against outdoor activities, saying that air quality in Croatia was still poor or very poor, with the concentration of floating dust particles having started to decline mildly.
Unusually high concentrations of PM10 particles were reported in several towns across the country on Friday, with the Meteorological and Hydrological Service saying that those were sand particles that had come from the Karakum Desert, east of the Caspian Sea.
