Eight new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Croatia in the last 24 hours and two more people have died due to Covid-19, the national coronavirus crisis management team told a daily press conference on Sunday.
The total number of positive cases now stands at 2,096.
Croatia’s death toll has risen to 79, Health Minister Vili Beros said, adding that a woman born in 1924 had died in a hospital in Split and a man born in 1950 had died in a hospital in Zagreb.
There are currently 15 patients on ventilators, out of 231 who are being treated in hospitals.Since the outbreak of the disease, 38,084 people have been tested, including 527 in the last 24 hours.
Currently, the percentage of tests coming back positive stands at 5.50%.
The number of people who have recovered now stands at 1,489.
Minister Beros called again for caution in the coming days, warning that there is a thin line between good and bad results in the fight against this pandemic.
